Job Description

Students and Global EngagementWellingtonStudents are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a positive and energetic administrator to join the Accommodation Services team and help build the residential communities at the Massey Wellington Halls. In the role of Operations Coordinator, you will provide and deliver outstanding levels of customer service to our residential communities.The position is full-time for a ten-month fixed-term period.This role requires the successful person to juggle competing priorities which requires initiative and a constant eye on improvements. The position is located in our halls in Wellington and not on campus. You will be required to move between the halls of residence on a daily basis, as and when required. It is not a desk-bound position. You will be spending time inspecting, checking our facilities and the work of contractors, and engaging with our resident community as well as working from the office.Our preferred candidate must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in a university or tertiary education environment supporting young people
  • Consistency in working out how things can be done better
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and keep an eye on many ongoing tasks
  • You are a team player and care about the success of those around you
  • Experience working in a customer-centric environment with timely responses to queries
  • Intermediate experience with StarRez software, Excel and Word
  • Experience in office coordination and stakeholder coordination
  • That you enjoy variety and excel in a role that encourages you to get out from behind the desk to develop networks
This is a varied role, which at times, can be busy and fast-paced. You will need to be a confident communicator, dependable, have strong organisational skills and be able to work in line with university systems, policies and procedures.
