At NZHP you get to design a bespoke reward and remuneration package around what matters to you.As a contractor you are able to opt into our Work Perks programme, have flexible working and work within a great culture and environment About the RoleThe supply chain specialist is responsible for the management of the supply chain relationships and activity for projects that are managed by NZHP. The main project currently managed is for medical supplies required for Covid-19 for testing laboratories and ICU equipment. There will be other projects as required.Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Manage critical supply relationships and their stock levels
  • Manage the National reserve with the 3PL and ensure the inventory is accurate
  • Weekly and monthly reporting on the National reserve and critical testing supplies
  • Setting up a functional, successful Supplier performance/relationship management program
  • Ensure effective communications engagement with key stakeholders
This role is a contractor position, starting ASAP until end of June 2022. It is a part time position ideally working 32hrs, however we are flexible if someone is wanting different hours. About YouYou will be confident and strong in your ability. You will have perseverance around the administrative tasks. You will be able to tactfully chase people, when you may not be their first priority. You will be strong at forming relationships with both the suppliers, 3PLs, Ministry of Health, District Health Boards and supply chain stakeholders.You will have:
  • At least 5years experience in logistics management or coordination
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Resilience and perseverance with problem solving and delivery of critical supplies
  • Good numerical and IT skills
  • Ability to be proactive when dealing with and escalating issues
